Pet Guide respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we use it.

What We Collect

When you use Pet Guide, we may collect:

• Photos you upload to identify items
• Messages you send to our AI assistant
• Voice recordings when you use the microphone (transcribed to text, then deleted)
• Items you save to “My Home” (stored locally on your device)
• Basic device info (browser type, screen size, language) for compatibility

We do NOT collect:

• Your name, email, or contact info (no signup required)
• Your payment info (purchases happen on Amazon, Walmart, etc. — not us)
• Your precise GPS location

How We Use It

• Photos and messages are sent to Anthropic’s Claude AI to give you helpful responses. They are NOT used to train AI models.
• Voice recordings are sent to ElevenLabs for transcription, then deleted.
• Saved items stay on YOUR device only (we don’t have a copy).

Third Parties

We use these services to power the app:

• Anthropic Claude — AI brain (anthropic.com/privacy)
• ElevenLabs — voice technology (elevenlabs.io/privacy)
• Replit — hosting (replit.com/privacy)

When you tap a retailer button (Amazon, Walmart, etc.), you leave our app and go to their site. Their privacy policies apply there.

Affiliate Disclosure

Pet Guide participates in affiliate programs. When you click a retailer button and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This helps keep the app free.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies for essential app function. We do NOT use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your Rights

You can:

• Clear your chat history anytime
• Delete saved items in My Home
• Stop using the app — we keep nothing on our servers about you

Children

Pet Guide is intended for users 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects changes.
